JENNIFER LE is a graduate of University of Southern California , with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Political Science and International Relations. She obtained her law degree from McGeorge School of Law, University of the Pacific and was admitted to the California Bar in 1999. Ms. Le was certified to clerk for the Orange County District Attorney's Office while awaiting Bar results, and was hired immediately upon successfully passing.

DEPUTY DISTRICT ATTORNEY

During her tenure with the Orange County District Attorney's Office, Ms. Le prosecuted virtually every type of crime, including hundreds of driving under the influence cases, thefts, drug possession, sales, and transportation, domestic violence, assault and battery, hit and run, and juvenile crimes, to name a few.
She handled most cases from the filing stage to non-jury or jury trial.

As a Deputy District Attorney, Ms. Le provided inter-office training in various areas of the law. Ms. Le has trained police officers in various areas of criminal law, including what information to include in a police report; critical steps in conducting criminal investigations; and ways to avoid suppression of evidence. In addition, Ms. Le assisted officers in preparation of testimony in court.

TELEVISION APPEARANCES

In early 2005, Ms. Le beat out hundreds of thousands of applicants to be one of 16 contestants on "The Apprentice: Martha Stewart" show which airs this fall.
Ms. Le was able to distinguish herself from the masses to join the ranks of a highly competitive cast, catching the eyes of Mark Burnett and various producers, as well as Martha Stewart herself.

  • COMMUNITY OUTREACH

    Ms. Le has also reached out to the community by participating in "Every 15 Minutes", which is a program that simulates a real DUI case from the jury trial stage to the sentencing stage. The participants include high school students, police officers, Deputy District Attorneys, Public Defenders, the private bar, and judges. The objective is to educate high school students as to the consequences of being convicted of a DUI.

    Ms. Le has held insightful forums at her church to educate adults and juveniles regarding the intricacies of the justice system. She has provided helpful information by way of lectures, hypotheticals, and answering specific questions.

    LANGUAGES SPOKEN

    Ms. Le speaks, reads, and writes Vietnamese fluently. She is able to speak Spanish conversationally, with skills in reading and writing.
    She is currently learning Armenian and Arabic.
